Welcome to Piano Tutor (the “App”), a web-based piano training platform owned and operated by My Music Mentor, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not access or use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
Piano Tutor is an educational platform designed to help users learn piano skills, improve musical understanding, and practice using MIDI-based tools, ear training exercises, playback features, and instructional content. The App may include features such as chord identification, scale practice, MIDI playback, and guided lessons as part of a paid course or training program.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Piano Tutor, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Eligibility & Access
Access to Piano Tutor is provided only to individuals who have enrolled in a course offered by My Music Mentor, LLC. The App is not intended for public use outside of these courses. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.
4. Account & User Information
Although Piano Tutor is open-access within the course environment and does not require a standalone account, you may be asked to provide basic information such as your name and email address for educational or communication purposes. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to promptly update any changes.
5. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Piano Tutor in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, copy, or redistribute the App or its code.
- Uploads or transmits viruses, malicious code, or any harmful material.
- Infringes on the intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party.
- Uses the App to create a competing product or commercial service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All content, features, design, code, software, lessons, MIDI tools, and instructional materials provided through Piano Tutor are the exclusive property of My Music Mentor, LLC and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any part of the App without prior written permission.
- Any MIDI files, lesson content, or audio material created or provided by the App remain the property of My Music Mentor, LLC.
7. User-Generated Content & MIDI Uploads
If the App allows you to upload or import MIDI files or other musical content, you retain ownership of your original work. However, by uploading, you grant My Music Mentor, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, display, and use that content solely for the operation of the App and related educational services.
You represent and warrant that any uploaded content does not infringe on third-party rights and that you have all necessary permissions to use and upload such content.
8. Data & Privacy
We collect limited personal information, including your name and email address, for purposes such as providing access to the App, sending course-related communications, and improving user experience.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that it will meet your specific needs. You use the App at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Music Mentor, LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for access to the course in which the App is included.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Texas.
